Stolen from Whole Foods DTLA, Saturday Dec 22nd 3:00pm. Store Manager has footage, will be passed on to LAPD detectives. WF staff member on break same them in action. Two bums on bikes with backpacks rolled past the bike rack next to the WF bar area, and double-backed. They cut my Abus chain with bolt cutters. Whole thing took less than a 3-4 minutes. By the time I came out, all I saw was a crappy cruiser leaning next to the bike rack. One bum rode away with my bike, the 2nd bum rode his own. Roughly 10 minutes later, one returns on foot to collect his crappy bike cruiser and rides away. Therefore, there's a good chance these bums "live" nearby, and will try to sell the bike locally (directly to another person, or to a nearby pawn shop).
